The 1st (Aust) Field Hospital Association Inc is writing to inform the 1RAR Association about the release of our book “Call Sign VAMPIRE – The inside story of an Australian Field Hospital during the Vietnam War”.
The book is a comprehensive overview of the 1st Australian Field Hospital based at 1ALSG Vung Tau, South Vietnam. The unit itself was raised in Vietnam 1 April 1968 and returned to Australia 25 Nov 1971.
Please find attached a brief outline of the book and an order form in the hope that you would be kind enough to promote our book to your members.
We think the book might be of interest to some of your members as Mike Naughton, CO 1AFH 69/70 was SMO AAFV & RMO 1RAR prior to his appointment to 1AFH.
