Look for RAR Assn banner – ACT Branch marches as a formed regimental body. Following national commemorative service at the AWM, all members of the Assn return to the Mercure Inn from 12PM.

The RAR Association (ACT Branch) will participate in the ANZAC Day March and the National ANZAC Day Service in the Australian War Memorial precinct, from 1000hrs on Tuesday 25 April 2017 - the March commencing at 1040 hrs - followed by a Reunion in the Hotel Mercure [Olims] from about 1200 hrs. All members, associates and infantrymen are invited to attend. Please pass the word to colleagues. The RSL ACT has provided points on march procedure, a copy of which is attached.

The RARA (ACT Branch) contingent  number and position is not yet known, but will be signposted by Scouts/Guides and by the raised RARA Regimental Banner on ANZAC Pde, north of the Blamey Crescent/Currong Street intersection, from about 1015 hrs. The RARA contingent will be led by the branch president, BRIG Stephen Dunn AM (Retd). There will be a contingent of 8RAR veterans marching with their banner, led by 8RAR Association National Vice-President, Wilf Hedley.

The RARA will march past the AWM saluting dais to seating in the raised tiers for the National Service. Thereafter, the RARA will gather at the Hotel Mercure from about noon, in the Courtyard Restaurant [same as 2016]. The venue will be signposted within the hotel. Members, associates, infantry colleagues and spouses/partners/relatives/guests are invited to join us. There will be a cash bar, free hot finger food and a raffle for good prizes from the Military Shop.
