The RAR Association (ACT Branch) will commemorate the Battle of Kapyong at the National Korean War Memorial on ANZAC Parade at 1100 hrs on Wednesday 24 April 2019. The Korean Community has been invited to attend. All members, associates and infantrymen are invited to attend.
The RAR Association (ACT Branch) will participate in the ANZAC Day March and the National ANZAC Day Service in the Australian War Memorial precinct. The RSL ACT states that form up for the march will be from 0945 hrs on Thursday 25 April 2019; however, please be in place by 1030 hrs for step-off at 1050 hrs. The commemorative events will be followed by a Reunion in the Mercure Hotel [Olims] from about 1230 hrs. All members, associates and infantrymen are invited to attend. The RARA (ACT Branch) is Contingent Number 46. The position is located next to the National Korean War Memorial on the city side of ANZAC Parade. It will be signposted with the contingent number and with the raised RARA Regimental Banner from about 1020 hrs. The RARA contingent will be led by the Branch Vice President, Michael Cole.
The RARA will march past the AWM saluting dais to allocated seating for the National Service. Thereafter, the RARA will gather at the Mercure Hotel from about 1230 hrs, in the Courtyard Restaurant [same as 2018]. The venue will be signposted within the hotel. Members, associates, infantrymen and spouses/partners/relatives/guests are invited to join us. There will be a cash bar, free hot finger food and a raffle for good prizes from the Military Shop.
