Our old colours, replaced at the 1RAR Parade commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Coral, in May 2018, have now been placed on display for all to see at the Army Museum NQ at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville. It was decided by the CO LTCOL Ben McLennan in consultation with the President and 1RAR Association, and the Mayor of Townsville (Councilor Jenny Hill) to lay them up were all could visit. The Army Museum is one of the busiest and most popular of the Army History Unit's museums and has gone from strength to strength under the leadership of MAJ John Lavery and his hard working and innovative team. The cabinet supplied by the Army History Unit is capable of displaying other sets of colours. We have no doubt started a great Army tradition.
